If you're having a hard time digging anything out of your closet because you have no idea what to wear that is stylish yet still cool enough, never fear! I'm here for you and I've got the top fashion tips for summer that will not sacrifice fashion but that will still keep you super cool!

Wrap Dresses
Whether you are heading to the beach for the day or you are out for a night out on the town with your girlfriends, this is the ideal fashion statement for you! Wrap dresses look great on any body type and there are so many styles that you can get, it's impossible not to find one that works for you! Wrap dresses are a staple in my closet and they are a fashion tip that is impossible not to love!

Formal Shorts
Shorts are very in right now, but I'm not talking about cut-off daisy-duke shorts, instead, opt for shorts that you may be able to get away with wearing to the office to keep you cool! Formal shorts are something that really are amazing. They can be printed or just a solid color, but they are more professional in nature and can even be a bit structured. Formal shorts are also longer, so you can get away with wearing them anywhere and still looking stylish!

Peep-toe Heels
Ah, the classic peep-toe heel! This is an adorable fashion trend that has been around for ages - but is a staple in the summer! Pattern heels, patent leather or even just matte heels - it doesn't matter! They are all amazing and you can really pick one that goes with whatever you are wearing! Slip into a pair of heels with a wrap dress or even some formal shorts for a really fashionable summer outfit!

Flowing Tunics
Finally gals, what about those flowing, floating tunics? Instead of a shirt that is heavy and can weigh you down and overheat you, why not go for something lightweight and something that won't weigh you down at all? Tunics are another fashion trend that is really in for the summer and they come in so many different styles!

Just because these are a few of the fashion trends for summer out there, doesn't mean you always have to opt for them! What if you want to slip into a sundress for the day or you want to beat the heat in your swimwear? These are just a few of the many ways you can beat the heat and still look oh-so-chic! So ladies, what other fashion tips for summer do you have to share with me?

Complaints Of Black Women

I have talked to many black women on the topic of black men and have found many different feelings on the perceptions they have of black men. In general I think black women have high expectations of black men when in reality most are only doing enough to get by. Should black women lower their expectations of black men? Yes, if as a woman you expect the black man to have super powers and be perfect. There is no such thing as perfection from anyone. You are not going to find the perfect man who can do everything nor the perfect woman.

Many women of color see a black man and have quick judgment of a black man based on what he puts out. How he acts is how a black woman perceives him. If he is wearing baggy pants or every other word is a derogatory profanity then a woman will perceive him as a thug. This could turn off some women.

Many women think their opinions don't matter to a black man. Some black women feel that when they voice their opinion on a subject a man may feel threatened or scared to admit that their woman is right and they (meaning the man) is wrong. Men don't want to admit their wrong. They can't even help this characteristic. It's the king of the castle mentality. Women have a voice and an opinion and they want to feel like what they have to say is important and valued. African American women tire of being thought of as dumb, unintelligent women who can't think for themselves and want equal communication.

Women of color are sick with the behaviors of black men and then take on the role of acting like one behaving as a black man does. Many women say they will no longer present themselves as ladylike and treat the men they meet as they have been treated-like a dog. When women start thinking this way they have the "I don't care anymore mentality" and become just as offensive as the man recycling his bad behaviors. It is not attractive for the man or a woman to carry on this way.

Black women's nerves go bad with a man who constantly stays on the subject of sex or the man who is sexually inhibited. Sex between two people should have balance, spontaneity and feeling in order for it to have health benefits for the relationship. Black women want the black man to step up not step down.

Does This Type Of Lingerie Suit You?

Buying Leather Lingerie and looking after your new garments.

What happens when you amalgamate the raunchiness of lingerie with the sensual elements of leather? The answer is of course is that you get an amazing, unbelievably sexy leather lingerie. Leather lingerie is super hot and can be extremely comfortable if you buy the highest quality brands from the right stores. Since your lingerie is an important purchase, we should discuss methods for deciding how to buy your lingerie. We'll discuss how to buy the garments that best suit your body type and also what to do to maintain and clean the sexy unique leather material.

Try boy shorts if you have a nice butt. Whether you opt for a boy shorts and bra combination or boy shorts and corset combination, there is nothing like a pair of these male inspired under garments to accentuate your derriere. Don't forget those heels, which will make your legs and butt look long, firm and in shape.

Look for support if you are big breasted. There are plenty of teddies, bra and panty sets with built in under-wires. If you're looking to show off your large chest, steer toward demi cut bras. Conversely, if you're big busted with a small waist, most built-in bra sets won't work for you. On the other hand you can look for a corset, which is much more customizable to your shape.

Don't miss out on what leather lingerie can do for you and your relationship, this is one piece that your partner will be thanking you for wearing in years to come. Leather is definitely not just for jackets, boots and belts. Genuine leather is a fantastic option for lingerie material. You can find any type of hot lingerie in this material. Like corsets, teddies, bustiers, boy shorts, corset dresses, bras, miniskirts, babydolls and much more.

Part of owning leather lingerie is understanding the techniques of how to care of it. Leather is a bit of an investment and most definitely not a disposable lingerie outfit. With the proper care, your gorgeous lingerie sale can last quite a long time. An important tip is to keep in mind that if it becomes wet, you will want to allow it to dry at room temperature. When you aren't wearing it, it should be hung on wide wooden or padded hangers; you don't want to expose the leather to hot or damp conditions for any extended amount of time. Your best keeping it out of direct sunlight too.

Do You Need A Style Intervention?

Every day there are opportunities to give yourself a fresh look.

But are you finding that these good intentions are still - season after season - leaving you in the same yoga pants and sweat shirt?

Have you tried to get your mojo back, but default to nojo?

Then it may be time to get yourself some professional help. And by professional, I mean a style intervention.

A good stylist doesn't just know about the latest trends and then try to force feed them on you... they learn about your personality, preferences... and may even uncover a few demons that are holding you back... not just in appearance, but, in LIFE!

Honestly. Wearing something pretty to make yourself feel better is short-lived compared to feeling happy, being pretty on the inside and letting your clothing be a reflection of who you are.

I'm no genie in a bottle, BUT, I do happen to know some fantastic stylists who have boatloads of great strategies.

Recently, one of these lovely ladies wrote a wonderful article providing all sorts of ideas around how your attitude or perspective may be preventing you from feeling good (and doing good) around your appearance.

One of the key concepts she addresses is the devil in comparing. There is no faster way to feel crummy than to compare your insides to someone else's outsides. And for some crazy reason, we often tend to evaluate ourselves vs. others when we already feel most vulnerable, which even further intensifies the feelings.

Are you certain that if you had more, better or different like "them" life would be better and you would be happier?

You can think you know how others relationships, family, clothing, skin, style and general lifestyle is so much "better" or "more." But, the reality is... we simply don't know what their truths are. Or what it's like to be them or live in their skin.

What's important is... what is true for YOU?

What's going on in your life? With your body? With relationships? Answering these deeper questions can elevate your mood and style faster (and cheaper) than a shopping spree.

I'm curious what this gets you thinking about? What's one inside thing you could shift that would affect your outside? Really, I hope you'll take a closer look... this is spirit and joy building, my friend.

Now get to it! And remember, I am most definitely in your corner...

Understanding Wedding Dress Design and Alteration

Has the man of your dreams finally popped the question? Are you soon to be a blushing bride? If you are starting to plan a wedding and are thinking hard about the dress for your special day, why not consider getting one made just for you? There are many independent bridal dress designers who will be happy to take your ideas and design a dress that will see you walking down the aisle as the perfect bride. Dress alterations are included in the bespoke service, so if the design is not as you would like it on the first fitting, you can have things altered to suit.

The Bespoke Service

Many people choose their wedding dress straight from the hanger and, with so many to choose from, this suits many a bride. Dress alterations are then done to tailor the chosen gown to fit the individual. For those who cannot find the perfect dress, however, the bespoke service is the way forward. It really does not matter if you have an idea of what you would like or not, as the designer you choose to employ will guide you through the process and open you up to ideas you may never have even considered. It is a good idea, though, to take along any pictures or sketches you have so the designer has a starting point to work from.

Throughout the process you, as the bride, will be consulted on all the fine details and the progress of the design. For the bride, dress alterations and fittings will be carried out regularly and the final fitting will be done close to the big day itself. This ensures that everything is as perfect as it can be, and you can relax in the knowledge that you will be the most beautiful bride possible on the day.

Many ladies choose to have their bridesmaid dresses made by the same designer, which means they will perfectly complement the bride. Dress alterations can also be made on pre-purchased bridesmaid dresses so they fit perfectly.

Many wedding dress designers can also design and make accessories for your bridal outfits, including boleros, veils and any other extras you may desire. No matter whether it is lace, silk or satin, designers can work with whatever material you choose. The price will obviously reflect the material chosen and the extra detail desired, of course.

Organising a wedding can be a daunting thought, so make at least one part of it an absolute pleasure. Have your dress individually designed for you and hand over the responsibility to an expert. You can then concentrate on all of the other parts of the celebration in order to make your big day a roaring success.

Honoring the Divine Mother: The Feminine Energy of God

Recently, I have noticed a new openness to the loving feminine energy of God. I'm not talking here about the feminist movement. I'm referring to something much deeper than that. I'm talking about the spiritual energy of the Divine Mother.

What is the Divine Feminine Energy? There are many explanations of it, but I like to keep things simple. I define it as the all encompassing love of a Divine Mother who never turns away from her children. If we choose to yield to the love of the Divine Mother, gone are the old teachings that we are bad, born with defects, sins, etc., and that we must repent in order for God to love us. We can imagine the loving care of a mother who will never turn away from her child, even when that child does things that may be inappropriate or unacceptable.

The Divine Mother is always there with open arms. All she wants us to do is love our selves, because when love is present we are connected to the Divine energy.

The love of self that I speak of is not a selfish or egoistic love. I am talking about LOVE: a spiritual energy; a force that goes beyond the boundaries of relativity and materialism.

A wonderful way to practice the Divine Feminine energy in our lives today is to (re)connect to our hearts. We must work to let go of past hurts and resentments. These feelings only block the light of the Feminine Energy from entering our hearts. When we look at others, we must try to remember who they really are, regardless of their dress, color, body art or disposition. They are our brothers and sisters. They are children of God, just as we are. Smile at them. I have a name for the practice of smiling at those I encounter in public. I call it "face yoga."

During my workshops, I have helped people from all walks of life; people who are carrying heavy baggage - addictions, dysfunctional relationships, death of a loved one, emotional, sexual or physical abuse - to tap into their Divine Feminine energy to reroute, rewire and reconnect to their hearts.

Another way to connect or reconnect to our hearts is "being in the silence." Being in the silence is all about practicing silent meditation even when in the midst of the intense activity of everyday life. It is the Mystical Feminine principle of "relaxing and releasing" tension, in contrast to the masculine principle of "striving to attain." The "silence" brings us to the conscious awareness of who we truly are - unique individual aspects of Divinity itself. It is the evolutionary expansion of our identity introducing us to the Inner State of Grace, which is the home and source of all Love, Peace, Joy and Wisdom.

Sidebar: Who is Our Divine Mother?

As with God, there are many names, but there is only one Divine Feminine Energy. To the pagans it is Mother Earth; to the Christians it is Mother Mary. In Judaism it is Asherah; to the Buddhist it is Kwan Yin and/or the Green Tara. In Hinduism, the Divine Feminine has many names, including Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Parvati, Radha and Sita. The Egyptians had Isis; the Greeks had Persephone; and the list goes on and on.

And there are the more recent female saints and avatars who have blessed us, such as Mother Frances Cabrini (1850-1917). She is credited with many miracles while she was on the earth and, even after her passing, miracles were attributed to her. Then there was Therese Neumann (1898-1962), a Catholic mystic, stigmatist and miracle women from Germany, who transformed her remarkable sufferings into means of helping and healing others.

Mother Maria Skobtsova (1891-1945), a Russian socialist intellectual who later sacrificed herself to help Russians and Jews in Paris during the 1930s and 1940s, courageously died a martyr's death in the Nazi concentration camps on behalf of her fellow inmates. Hazrat Babajan was an Afghani Muslim princess in her youth, but left home to trek into India where she studied from Muslim and Hindu teachers. She lived in solitude and later gained renown as a Sufi sage and enigmatic wonder-worker of tremendous blessing force. When she died in 1931, she was alleged to be 130 or even 140 years old.

Anandamayi Ma (1892-1982), known as the "Blissful Mother" and guru to gurus, was an illustrious mystic and sage who was hailed as a Divine Incarnation. Her mother had a number of auspicious dreams of gods and goddesses before Ma's birth; a sign usually indicating the presence of an imminent mahatma (Great Soul). The infant Ma did not cry at birth and throughout her childhood was remarkably serene. It is said that nobody could fail to understand her, for she addressed herself to all as if they were at the same level as children of God.

Mother Teresa (1910-1997 was born in Albania and raised as a Roman Catholic. She loved hearing stories of missionaries early in life. At the age of 18, she left home to join the Sisters of Loreto. She eventually left her convent to wander and help the poor and sick on her own, with God's help alone. In 1950, she was given permission to start the Missionaries of Charity. Its mission was to care for, "... all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone." She won many humanitarian awards, but most important she was able to give dignity to the helpless, poor, sick and dying.

Anasuya Devi (1923-1985) was God-realized from birth. She later married, raised a family and founded a large spiritual community in South India. Celebrated as "Mother of all," her remarkable teachings uphold the Supreme Power of God and the "original innocence" of all beings. Syama Mataji (b.1916) fully realized God in a short, but wonderful time by simply chanting/focusing her entire being on the Divine Names of God (Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama, Rama, Hare, Hare). Awesome miracles and exquisite songs of devotion have emanated from her ever since then.

And then there is Amma Mata Amritanandamayi (b.1953) esteemed as another stupendous Incarnation of the Divine Mother. Today, she is India's leading female light, with a mission growing by leaps and bounds. She selflessly travels the world to console, hug, heal and inspire millions of children with the power of Divine Love. She is also known as the "Hugging Mother."

It is not a coincidence that these blessed women came to us within the last two centuries. After two centuries of banishing the feminine energy, I believe that these women came forth to usher in a new age of the Divine Feminine Energy.
